Our Story

Virtue Natural Bakery was founded in 2017 by Certified Natural Chef Lisa Virtue.

Chef Lisa always loved baking as a child and later came to understand the connection between good food and health. She attended Bauman College in California in 2009, where she learned about health supportive, gluten-free cooking. She began adopting this diet and realized it was an important tool for her health. 

In 2017, Chef Lisa began selling her homemade pastries and breads at farmers markets around the lower mainland. Fast forward six years later and customer demand has lead to a brick and mortar shop in Kitsilano!

Virtue Natural Bakery is a place where everyone can enjoy handcrafted baked goods, whether or not you eat gluten. We are thrilled to be freshly open now and will continue to add more items on offer. Check in to see our bread offering of the day as well as the daily muffin and scone flavours!
