BAKER / BARISTA – PART-TIME
Pay: CA$21.50–$22.00 per hour including average gratuities + 4% vacation pay
WHO WE ARE
We are a specialty micro-bakery and café in the heart of Kitsilano, committed to providing our customers with freshly made, health-conscious, gluten-free baked goods using the highest-quality ingredients.
We believe everyone deserves to enjoy delicious food, great coffee, and a warm, welcoming environment.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a detail-oriented, focused, efficient, and reliable employee to join our small team.
This is an all-rounder position with both bakery and café responsibilities, introduced in stages. The primary focus though will be on baking.
Initially, you will be trained as a baker, and your shifts will consist of bakery production. Once you are confident and fully trained in the bakery, we will begin training you on our café and barista operations, with barista shifts and responsibilities being introduced in the fall.
Your shifts will mainly be baker shifts. You will not be expected to perform full bakery and barista duties simultaneously. The goal is for you to become a capable and versatile member of our small team who can work confidently in both areas.
As a baker, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and baking multiple recipes during each shift while maintaining consistently high standards of quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
As a barista and café team member, you will interact directly with customers, prepare coffee and tea, serve baked goods, prepare sandwiches and other café items, and help keep the café running smoothly.
Attention to detail is essential. This is a hands-on position where you will need to stay organized, work efficiently, follow recipes and production lists accurately, take direction well, and maintain a clean workspace throughout your shift.

- Mature, positive, friendly, respectful, and professional attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
